ANNOUNCING ATL X SFOC 2022 - A TWO-DAY UCI C2 SPECTACULAR

Adelaide Track League, Australia’s newest and most exciting track racing series, is back again as part of the 2022 Santos Festival of Cycling. The racing will be bigger than ever, now a two-day, UCI-listed track event hosting the best riders in the country as well as some from the rest of the world. Everything you know and love about Adelaide Track League will remain the same, with Adelaide’s best food trucks rolling up and a host of SA-owned drinks available from the ATL bar. Two DJs across the two evenings of racing will be spinning up the tunes, and what better way to kick of a Festival of Cycling and Adelaide’s festival season in general than some world-class bike racing at the world-class Adelaide Superdrome!

Our race programs are still being locked down, but expect to see a full run of Sprint and Endurance events with international-level fields featuring riders who competed for Australia at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Friday will see a full 4-event Women’s Omnium and Keirin as well as a Men’s Scratch Race, Elimination Race, Points Race, and Keirin for an action-packed program of racing across the evening. Saturday’s program will be all about the Sprint, with Men and Women both taking part in UCI Sprint events to see who’s the fastest around 3 laps of the 250m Superdrome. With the Women’s Ziptrak Stage 1 taking place on Sunday morning, the Women’s Endurance riders will get the night off from UCI racing but the Men will compete in an Omnium in between the Sprint events on Saturday evening.

With a host of food trucks including Gang Gang, Sookii La La, Staazi & Co, and TacoCat having graced the ATL crowds with their delicious food we’re excited to keep them coming along to Gepps Cross, with more information about food to come. Rest assured there’ll be plenty of options for all dietary requirements! An all-South-Aussie lineup of refreshments will keep the beaks wet, with beers (including a new NA option) from Big Shed Brewing Co, wine from Alpha Box & Dice, pre-mix G&Ts from Prohibition Liquor, locally-made sodas from Mischief Brew and coffee by Deja Brew Specialty Coffee.

Music-wise it’s two big names in the Adelaide music scene, with local vinyl legend Oisima taking to the decks on Friday evening for the big dance, and following it up on Saturday’s Sprint-heavy program with former Fresh FM host and sought-after DJ Ryley Smithson completing the weekend’s tune deliveries.

AusCycling’s GM of South Australia, Lachie Ambrose, says it’s a great opportunity to see international racing without having to get on a plane.

“Adelaide Track League has kicked every goal we’d hoped it would in 2021, and this time around will be no different. Everything that people loved about what we’ve been doing, with a little more spice to fight for the win. In addition, I think it shows our direction where we want to go with ATL making it bigger and better every year – don’t think it will stop at this!”

Spectator Tickets will be available soon via Eventbrite, with links throughout our social channels and website, as well as full info and a detailed schedule. Please check back soon to grab your tickets!
